Here are some tips for new parents:
- check that the milk in the bottle is at the right temperature: let a few drops fall onto your wrist (the milk should be lukewarm);
- if necessary, warm the bottle in a bain-marie or in an electric bottle warmer;
- take your baby in your arms, supporting him so that his head is resting on your arm, in a semi-reclining position;
- to stimulate your baby, brush his cheek with your finger: he will instinctively turn and open his mouth;
- offer the bottle, making sure that your baby grasps the teat (the silicone part of the bottle) well;
- during feeding, always hold the bottle at an angle so that the teat is full of milk: this will prevent the baby from swallowing air;
- when you want it to detach, touch the corner of his mouth with the tip of your finger: the baby will let go.
